Public Speaking is an art that can be mastered with practice and dedication. It involves conveying ideas effectively to an audience, whether it be in a small meeting or on a large stage. Confidence and clarity are key components of successful public speaking.
Engaging with the audience, using appropriate body language, and varying vocal tones can help keep listeners interested and invested in your message.
Preparation is crucial; knowing your material inside and out allows you to speak more naturally and respond to any questions or feedback with ease. Visual aids and storytelling can also enhance your presentation, making complex ideas more understandable and memorable.
Remember, even the most experienced speakers started somewhere. Embrace opportunities to speak publicly, learn from each experience, and gradually you will see improvement.
Public speaking is not just about delivering a speech—it’s about connecting with people, sharing your passion, and inspiring others.

TESTIMONIALS
Public Speaking Workshops
“Gabriella was recommended to me back in 2021 when I had to emcee my first ever event, my very first-time public speaking – in front of 400 people. To say I was terrified is an understatement.
Right from the start Gabriella made me feel welcome, comfortable and at ease. We have had several sessions and I have now emceed many an event in front of hundreds of people which has gone from initial anxiety, to now being excited for each event – the icing on the cake being asked if I would be interested in professional emcee work.
When I look at where I am now to where I was, it’s without a doubt I would not be the success I am without Gabriella.”
Marise Maechler
President, The Association for Women in Insurance (NSW)
“Gabriella was a fantastic coach in preparing our team for large public speaking events. We all left feeling more confident and with the tools to enable us to effectively present. Highly recommend her course for corporate training in public speaking or to fine tune overall presentation skills.”
Anna Morrison
Brauer Natural Medicine
“One of the best coaches I have ever worked with and there is no one I know that would give you so much of her expertise, time, energy and focus.”
Salesforce
“Gabriella has a remarkable gift of pinpointing ‘the little things’, which are most often the biggest things. She has exceptional attention to detail in quickly finding both your strengths and weaknesses.”
Hesta
“The post-workshop survey came back with a very positive average rating of 9/10 result for the ‘workshop meeting everyone’s expectations’.
All other questions in our survey results were 100% yes which is fantastic feedback.”

Insider Advice:
Speaker Tips
• Deeper diaphragm breathing for a centred, controlled voice: expand the stomach and rib cage with the inhale of air to activate the diaphragm, avoiding shallow chest breath.
• Focus on dropping voice to a deeper register: visualise throwing a ball up and down as you explore vocal range with the sound “ahh” and catch the ball at core level for most powerful vocal tone.
• Insert speech modulation for dynamic phrases: find moments to pause, raise or lower volume, change up the speed of sentences, stretch out or shift intonation of words for emphasis.
• Keep your stance grounded: imagine melting your feet into the earth beneath you, like a tree with deep roots, whilst the upper half of your body has more movement like branches in the wind. Avoid shifting weight, being too light on your feet, pacing without purpose, swaying and repetitive gestures – all of which cry nerves and insecurity.
• Think of gestures/hand movements as an extension of your intension – for example you want to welcome your audience and make the feel comfortable then naturally arms spread wide in body language. To hold back the arms stiffly is incongruent to how you are trying to affect your audience in that moment.
• Break your speech down and assign an energy or intention to each section. These gear changes in tone keep speeches dynamic and compelling rather than flatlining.
• Learn performing techniques to connect to your intentions and emotions throughout your speech for authenticity.
